Dragon’s Den’s Steven Bartlett confirmed to headline at the Retail Technology Show

Steven Bartlett, Dragon’s Den investor and founder of Social Chain, is confirmed to headline at the Retail Technology Show, retail’s golden ticket event, taking place on 26 & 27 April 2023 at London’s Olympia, as it launches its trailblazing conference programme.  Joining over 100+ retail thought leaders and luminaries taking to the stage at the flagship retail event, Bartlett will join leading retailers, including Alibaba, Deliveroo, Curry’s, The Very Group and boohoo, discussing the hottest and most pressing topics shaping the industry agenda.

Speaking on Day 2 of the show, Barlett, the straight-talking Diary of a CEO podcast host, will headline as a keynote for the Ecommerce Growth & Omnichannel track which will be moderated this year by retail broadcaster and Customer Whisperer, Kate Hardcastle MBE.

A further five conference tracks will run across the two-day event seeing retailers, including Alibaba, Deliveroo, Currys, The Very Group, boohoo and Sweaty Betty, discuss key trends and topics, from leadership and culture, ecommerce, customer obsession, payments and supply chain.

On the headline stage, Retail Economics CEO, Richard Lim, will provide a financial outlook to 2025 and beyond, mapping the key challenges and opportunities for retailers looking to optimise and stream-line business operations while adapting to new cost-of-living consumer behaviours.

In addition, the British Retail Consortium (BRC) will join keynote sessions at the event as part of its recently announced partnership with the Retail Technology Show, set-up to champion the role of innovation in driving retail forwards.  Andrew Opie, Director of Food and Sustainability at the BRC, will be discussing the key sustainability questions retailers should be asking themselves in 2023, while Dr Kris Hamer, Director of Insight at the BRC, will be part of a keynote panel discussion, which explores the key innovations impacting retail today and how this will evolve as we look ahead to 2028.

Diving into customer obsession and marketing, Theatre A, sponsored by MAZE, will welcome a panel discussion featuring Bloom & Wild’s Insight Director, Mairead Masterson, Curry’s Head of Decision Science, Robert Bates, and Coop’s Senior Research & Insight Manager, Richard Hitt, looking at unlocking the value of data to drive loyalty.  Meanwhile, on Theatre B, sponsored by nuvei, Alibaba’s Mei Chen will deliver a deeper understanding of the Metaverse and what this means for retailers looking to move into this new and emerging channel.

Matt Bradley, Event Director for the Retail Technology Show, commented:
