Get My Slice serves up powerful personalisation to drive revenues

Consumer data marketplace, Get My Slice, has boosted customer engagement to drive a +14% increase in revenue per app user, partnering with MoEngage, the leading insights-led customer engagement platform.

Founded in 2020, Get My Slice is the consumer data marketplace app that allows shoppers and internet users to extract value from their data.  Available as a free app on iOS and Android, it offers consumers data rewards, cashback, discounts, freebies and other offers from 2,000+ leading retailers and brands, including Revolut, Coinbase, SimplyCook & Booking.com.  Based on their opted-in searching, browsing and transaction data across Facebook, Google and Open Banking, it allows consumers to take back control of their data – and make it pay – meaning consumers earn a fair ‘slice’ of the value generated by businesses from their data.

Having seen rapid growth in the number of users on the app – 7.5k users within the first 90 days and YOY 40% increase – Get My Slice wanted to ensure that it could enhance customer engagement among its existing customers, helping them to get more value out of the app and the offers available, while helping to grow new app users, through organic customer acquisition and referrals.  It also wanted to future-proof the business for international growth, as it eyes taking its success in the UK market and launching into additional global locales in the near future.

Get My Slice understood that in order to sustain its growth trajectory and grow loyalty among existing users, it would need to fast-track its customer engagement strategy, with a focus on mobile-first capabilities that could deliver omnichannel engagement at scale.   The Get My Slice team wanted a centralised platform for efficiently understanding customers’ app usage and performance and unifying data.  It also required a platform to transform data into actionable insights and enable the team to run highly personalised campaigns through email, push, text, and in-app messaging channels.

Partnering with MoEngage, Get My Slice has been able to automate and quickly scale its customer interaction, leveraging the solution’s insight-led customer engagement platform, which uses AI-powered automation to unlock data-led analysis of consumer behaviours.  This is then used to improve segmentation and enhance personalisation at each touchpoint, as well as implementing A/B testing to drive continuous improvement in customer engagement to build enhanced customer journeys.  

Already through the improvements from insights delivered from the MoEngage platform, Get My Slice has been able to improve email open rates that track +280% higher than industry best practice benchmarks and opens across its customer engagement now sit at +35%.  This engagement has also seen average revenue per user rise by +14% across email and push notifications.
